since i was a little kid - too young to understand half of the jokes - i've been an avid snl viewer. it's the best way to spend a saturday and 20 saturdays a year, that's where you can find me - on my couch, watching the not ready for prime-time gang make me laugh. but when they laugh, we laugh harder. best week ever's mark graham compiles the 10 best all time crack ups, also know in the biz as "corpsing."

thanks to janina and taeoko, i was privy to a very special show last night at the mercury lounge. sweet apple with j mascis - a super group of sorts featuring members of witch, cobra verde and of course dinosaur jr - rocked the fucking house at the mercury lounge for about an hour. it was exactly what i needed after a shitty few days.
