we went black today in order to honor the anniversary of the worlds greatest musician.

rest in peace. our thoughts are always with sean + yoko on this difficult day.

a word: when john lennon was sitting on top of the world he could have sold anything he wanted. he could have married a supermodel, moved to la, released junk music or worse, disco - but he did none of that. he sold peace. he put up 'the war is over' billboards, grew out his hair, stayed in bed for a week with his lady in amsterdam and flashed peace signs at nixon all day long. he did the one thing that endangered his life, his green card status and got himself a very heavy fbi file in the process. john lennon stood up for what he believed at all cost - even when it negatively effected his own well-being.

we need more people like that.
